GEODE Spring Seminar “Charting the Course for Strategic Grid Investments”

Spring season is here which means our anticipated GEODE Spring Seminar is approaching! On Monday the 3rd of June, our annual GEODE Spring Seminar will take place in Brussels at Sparks Meeting, conveniently located near the Brussels central station. The event will kick off with a networking lunch at 12:00 and opening at 13:00 and will end at 18:00.

This year’s seminar titled “Charting the Course for Strategic Grid Investments” will explore the critical topic of grid investment and funding. The legislative packages, such as the “Fit for 55” and Repower EU measures, highlight the pivotal role of grids in driving the energy transition. However, substantial investments, including anticipatory ones, are required to expand and modernize grid infrastructure. The EU Action Plan on Grids has identified the need for 584 billion euros in grid investments by 2030, spanning electricity and gas infrastructure, including the transition to hydrogen and CO2.

Given these challenges and opportunities, GEODE’s event provides a unique platform to convene representatives from European institutions, NRAs, investors, and DSOs. Together, we’ll explore strategies to ensure effective national implementation of European legislation and foster a conducive business environment to attract investments in grids.
